Homework on Ethereum Intro

1) What is Web 1.0?

Web 1.0 are static web sites with only text, some pictures, and links. There is no Chats, accounts, or social media.

2) What is a Smart Contract?

A Smart Contract is code written in Solidity running on the Ethereum blockchain which allows anyone to verify who’s sending/receiving money. Smart Contracts are immutable and unstoppable.

3) How is transparency achieved with Ethereum code?

Transparency is achieved by allowing anyone to see the actual smart contract code once its deployed on the Ethereum blockchain.

  1. Web 1.0 was the first version of web where the websites were mostly static. Those could only had text, images and link.

  2. Smart contract is kind of a financial application build on a blockchain, where you write commands on certain conditions and then the Ethereum (EVM) executes it as per the given instructions. No one change it after deployment.

  3. Anyone can read the smart-contract, and no one can change it.

  1. Web 1.0 was the first iteration of the web and was a “read-only web”, containing text, images and links but no real user interaction or content generation.

  2. A smart contract is a computer protocol that is automatically executed when predetermined terms and conditions are met. The lines of code are stored on the blockchain and use blockchain technology to verify, validate and enforce predetermined terms between multiple parties.

  3. Transparency is achieved because ethereum is a public blockchain platform and therefore smart contracts are visible to all participants in the blockchain network. Also, because smart contracts are stored on the blockchain they are immutable and secure.

1. What was Web 1.0?
Static web pages comprised of text, images and links but no dynamic content and user interaction capability.

2. What is a smart contract?
Small pieces of code that run on the Etherum blockchain, programmable money.

3. How is transparency achieved with ethereum code?
Smart contracts could be seen by anyone on the network. The Etherum blockchain enables digital provenance.

Homework on Ethereum Intro - Questions

  1. What was Web 1.0?
Web 1.0 marks the beginning of the internet. Overall it was a ‘static’ internet meaning that web pages were merely text, images and links.

  2. What is a smart contract?
Smart contracts are small pieces of code that are built on top of a blockchain. They are programmable contracts to send and receive transactions. A smart contract can own cryptocurrencies and decide what to do with the money based on set parameters. It is programmable money without a third party or intermediaries.

  3. How is transparency achieved with ethereum code?
Ethereum’s transparency comes from it being a blockchain of smart contracts. Anyone can review the smart contracts’ code and verify the validity of it. There is no way to change a smart contract or meddle with it. Ethereum’s smart contracts use PoW mining which is unstoppable and trustless.

  1. What was Web 1.0?

Static websites with just information such as text, images and links. The web 2.0 can contain options like chat function, accounts etc.

  1. What is a smart contract?

Pieces of code. With programming language called solidity we can create a smart contract. It’s transparant en unstoppable in a thrustless form

  1. How is transparency achieved with ethereum code?

Because the smart contracts are open source and there is no middleman. Everybody can look at what’s in the contract but no one can adjust it.

  1. What was Web 1.0?
Web 1.0 refers to the beginning of the internet where websites were static with text, images and links only.

  2. What is a smart contract?
A smart contract is a small piece of code which runs on the Ethereum network written in Solidity programming language. Smart contracts can be programmed to perform any functions in a unstoppable, decentralized, trustless, transparent way.

  3. How is transparency achieved with ethereum code?
It is transparent because the Ethereum network is transparent and it cannot by changed once deployed. Anyone can view and verify the functions of the code.

  1. What was Web 1.0?
  2. What is a smart contract?
  3. How is transparency achieved with ethereum code?

1- It was the first version of the web, where there was no interaction, only texts, images and maybe links.

2- A Smart Contact is a piece of code that runs on the Eth Network. It is designed to manage money and to hold/ release it according to certain circumstances detailed within the contract.

3- The S.C. are transparent, and irreversible, so no trust is needed nor any middle man or 3rd party to validate it. All conditions and clauses are in the S. C. and can be checked and trusted to be endorsed if/when the conditions are fulfilled.

  1. The internet before Java Script came along.

  2. Smart contracts: small pieces of code on the Ethereum blockchain, written in Solidity. Smart contracts are unstoppable & transparent & they deeply once a certain condition is meet. No body can go back & change how a smart contract behaves. It can not be reversed. To change a smart contract is the same as trying to change a transaction in a mined block on the BTC network. (impossible)

  3. Ethereum is a public blockchain, so the code is freely visible for everyone to see & therefore so are the smart contracts.

1. What was Web 1.0?
Static markup language which included simple items such as links, images and text.
2. What is a smart contract?
Small pieces of code with a series of instructions that lead to programmable assets
3. How is transparency achieved with ethereum code?
We remove the element of trust and can verify how smart contracts are written and that they execute as intended. Once it is deployed on the blockchain it cannot be changed.

Static websites, only containing text

A code written in Solidity wich makes the SM hold money untill an certain event occured that is linked to that smart contract.

the code of smartcontracts is visible for anyone so we do not have to trust or even know eachoter do make a good TX : its a trustless action : Dont Trust, Verify!
