Proposal #139: The 8 members of the Polkassembly are proposing for recurring payments (quarterly) to cover general maintenance (runtime upgrades), human resource and operations.
#126 Nomi Tool Proposal: Nomi is a decision support tool for Nominators in NPoS networks
This proposal aims help participants of the Kasuma ecosystem make decisions by providing them with an easy visual tool to use.
Nomi , by TurboFlakes, aims to engage Nominators in the community in active staking as well as improve the nomination experience, by presenting a fresh and new visual way of 1) selecting the best performing Validators in the network, 2) getting recommendations with the latest top ranked Validators and 3) displaying a contextual call to action to nominate.
Polkadot, Kusama and Parachain analytical website
The proposal describes how users in the polkadot and kusama community are missing information over their wallet, fees, transaction, profits, pnl and that it should be calculated manualy. The aims of the proposal is to develop a new tools which will synthetize all the information. It will be developped via a new website that will enable users to get detailed view of wallet and allow them to make more advised decisions. To summurize, the idea is not to change kusama but to define a format of data that will help users by saving time and money.
The proposal seems to answer a real need for users, but one can ask if these tools should rather be implemented directly on subscan.io. Debate is open!
I read and studied proposal was referendum 103.
Its main benefit was to avoid using small decimals when dealing with DOT, but it would bring extra comparisons and conversations between DOT and KSM.
It is a proposal that did not pass, but it shows how important is Polkassembly discussion area where is discussed proposals positive and negative points.
This proposal by 465378fdfbb046829f0bb4a4c is asking for a raise of a number of validators on Kusama and he is asking if that is possible in the first place:P
This is a proposal whose proposer address (16hu63GujrmJPW9ZbGibj6gFnLFe4yW8A7gDgADmRTmpaUkf) is shown in on-chain info below. Only this user can edit this description and the title. This proposal became a referendum #43 where one vote was opposed cause parachains were not settled, also some concerns of open slots.
I picked this proposal over here: https://polkadot.polkassembly.io/proposal/6 .
The author of this proposes that there should be an option to set the validator set to 499. This far beyond the lass stress-test done (300 validators). Increasing the validator set causes the consensus engine to become monolithic because it is more resource intensive to finalise new sates upon increasing the number of validator set. The network needs to remain performant and therefore it is recommended to keep the validator set low.
#193 Proposal for roll-out of Kusama Decentralization Analytics made by Valletech (username, associated with an address), made with a 3,333…KSM bond, asking for 213.14KSM to subsidize the work of Polkawatch, an analytic tool that aims to gather data and measure the descentralization of both Polkadot and Kusama networks.
The proposer points to the relevancy of the proposal (utility of the tool), with a link to a Google Docs with full details of the proposal, including topics such as Polkawatch System Architecture and an Economic Summary describing the roadmap of the project with duration of 3 months during 2022 Q3, hours of work required, and the costs that summing up one time + recurrent would be 213.14KSM that at the time was worth 12700 USD.
The proposal became Motion #521 and 2 days later was approved and executed, closing the thread.
Proposal #203 Unit Masters Proposal.
Looks like funding outreach for Unit Masters Blockchain Literacy Program. It says all the right feel good stuff about everything for UN SDGs. Red flag point for me was the recommendations were high excitement and low on exactly what this program is worth in the real world. Fortunately it is free for the student.
121 Runtime Upgrade v9420 on Polkadot Network.
4 runtime migrations for the Relay Chain in this release In addition to the migrations mentioned above, all the migrations included in runtimes since v9380 have been included in this release, allowing to jump over a few runtimes. this proposal includes the inclusion of OpenGov on Polkadot in order for OpenGov.
