Ethereum Advanced

Hey @Drojc17, hope you are great.

Now it could be complex to setup the node for the testnet, if you still want to research more maybe this one is the best place to start: https://medalla.launchpad.ethereum.org/

If you have any more questions, please let us know so we can help you!

I love the way lectures are structured. Every piece of information is very digestible! It’s convenient to learn this way. I feel we all have a good advantage here

I love it so far. Learning about the principles of bitcoin and ethereum is very interesting. I can’t wait to start the coding class and do a project.

What do you all think of the EIP 1559 reform?

Hey guys, I haven’t been very active in the community so I’ve decided after to put in a bit more effort. This is just an observation regarding the usage of Gas and my thinking when Ivan was speaking about it.

You must have eth to buy gas and you must use gas in order to transact. I think this is vital for the overall value and sustainability of the Etherium network. Does this remind you guys of anything???

As Ivan was speaking all I could think about was the US Dollar and Oil. As of right now, most of USD value has come from countries having to use it to transact and buy Oil.

It’s this that has given the Dollar so much Value(and power) and allowed that value to be sustained as the worlds reserve currency for over 100 years.

Obviously there are several differences but the comparison can certainly be made!!!
I couldn’t help but wonder if Vitalik was thinking of this in the early days of Etherium

Would love to hear your thoughts!

I haven’t heard about it, What is it??

To be honest I don’t know exactly how it all works but it is a transaction pricing mechanism that includes fixed per block network fee that is burned and dynamically expands/contracts block sizes to deal with transient congestion.

It sounds interesting! Do you know if it is to be run on the Etherium network or another network??

Hello there folks, I am sure enjoying this course of study… I am looking forward to learning more about Cardano and any others that compete with Eth just to understand things better. The freedom and complete change this will mean for our society is remarkable. It is going to save our _____! Look forward to getting to know people better over time as well. I am enjoying the messages I have sent to my email out of my interests. Cool life we have!

Actually I’m kind of confused with some subjects but eventually in the long run I will perfectly know it.
I’m new at this world so I don’t how it is working.

I think there should be an intro video , explaining what the course outlines, instead of sending us to this forum.

So far I am having a lot of fun, the layout of this platform is very user friendly. The courses are informative, yet quick and to the point. Its very awesome to see everybody else’s perspective from what they got in the lesson with thread. I am having extreme fun, while learning, doing homework and staying motivated to understand some complex information, it honestly a rare occasion.

One of the things that I love about learning on IOTA platform is the questions make me think about what was discussed in the lesson. In turn, I find myself seeking out more information on various websites and getting a very well-rounded education. The message boards/forum helps me to see more information found by others in the program. Given that ETH and Bitcoin operate differently, it’s nice to understand the nuances. In addition to websites, I catch the Ivan On Tech podcast daily for up to date information.

For beginners, it will be helpful for them to do Bitcoin and Blockchain 101, this gives a solid background and it will help and make it easier for them when they start Ethereum 101

ETH platform is to me sounding like small private banks that held accountable and are easy to use once you how. Anyone?

Almost, i do not agree that is a private bank, is more like a open bank

Yes if open bank means decentralized and follows proper Standards. Do you have a use case? Even if it is just paying student for grades.
