What about Chainlink?
Since its a connector of services between different blockchains and the “real world”

Binance seems like a good casestudy.

The explosive growth of BSC’s protocol ( Binance Smart Chain) as a contender to Ethereum has been interesting too watch. Notable dApps PancakeSwap and Venus have shown impressive growth in TVL and active wallets, giving Eth dApps Uniswap and Compound a run for their money.

Binance Smart Chain has proven itself to be a strong Eth Competitor in the DeFi Space, however at the sacrifice of some decentralization.

I’ve been interested to learn more about Yearn Finance.

Hello @amadeobrands

What’s up?! I am a Filipino :star_struck: at least I am half Filipino and you are in the Phillies, are you still there?

Great to know that you are making the Filipinos Crypto Fit.

After studying your excel sheet, I just wanted to point to defichain sure you have heard of and if you or anyone likes to discuss this, would love to hear your opinion on it.

Would you mind sharing if you already know about it? While most of the shared projects are based on Ethereum platform this one is built on Bitcoin, what is your take on it?

Best regards,
Marius

This course is amazing totally opens your eyes to the defi space. With all the links I went straight down the crypto defi hole. I couldn’t stop reading and researching defi products. The space is truly amazing and I’m glad to be getting into it now. Thanks for all your information, look forward to expanding my brain further! Another interesting project to look at it sushiswap seems to be bit of a competition for Uniswap. Already partners with yearn.finance to become yearn.finances AMM.

So a soon to be new kid on/in the lego block of Defi is Flare Networks (enables smart contracts for token s like LTC, Doge, XRP), with Flare Finance as an enabler for:

  • non-custodial liquidity pools
  • insurance coverage decentralized
  • P2P margin trading

It is interestingly confusing. I’m coming from 20 years of traditional banking, where technology is about secrecy and hiding. My last project was in the security department. The amount of effort put in auditing and reducing the ability to access information is huge, an environment of granting the least authority possible.
While in Defi, all is open, code, transactions… it is mind-blowing…

I still have my doubt about the risks associated with the Defi model; Internet constant hacking, the responsibility of securing funds is huge and bring dangers that are not often faced in Cefi.

Hello, would be nice to include an insurance defi project, I wish to explore how a such dapp work.

Couple of more Defi projects that I just came across:

Bogged Finance: It is a Defi project on BSC. Basically it acts to execute arbitrage opportunities on different blockchains. It has a feature called Bogtools that acts as an oracle to feed price date into its code. The Bog Transaction system is a hook that acts as a bridge for execution of the trading code between various blockchains. I am looking into more so forgive me for any technical misunderstanding I might have.

2nd is Apetools: Basically this is like Glassnode’s but it shows activity on DEX’s such as Uniswap pertaining to what is called ape-ing where it will show which coins are the most traded, discussed or popular and i believe various on-chain like metrics that one can get from Glassnode. None of the projects features have been launched but it is something to look out for.

Finally, Enzyme aka Melon, Ivan discussed this project once or twice on his show. It is a Defi Asset management project that allows anyone to create and manage a hedge fund. Has anyone tried this protocol?

I think there are a few DeFi protocols on Bitcoin that would be interesting to mention:

  • Stacks STX is one thats building DeFi that piggybacks on Bitcoin proof of work data for security thats pretty interesting. Gives miners extra incentives for the same work.

  • Another is Sovryn SOV, A lending and borrowing protocol on Bitcoin with governance.

Chainlink is a decentralized oracle network that provides reliable, tamper-proof inputs and outputs for complex smart contracts on any blockchain.

SuperFarm is definitely an interesting one. Some of you might know about it already, but for those who haven’t heard about it SuperFarm is a Dapp allowing people to deploy NFT’s and farm crypto with no code required. They have a great community and also are doing some very interesting partnerships.
