DeFi Ecosystem - Discussion

Synthetix (SNX) - would really want to know more about that

edit: covered in following course

I would like you to explore the DeFi ecosystem for yourself and challenge you to spot new projects in the DeFi space that need to be included .

DeFi is Ethereum at its best.

What web browser are you using, it needs to be web3 compatible like Brave, Opera, Chrome,
Firefox works with some off them, Brave the best for privacy !

DDEX is a very cool decentralized margin trading platform, you can also earn interest.

I would consider looking at Nexo. I am totally amazed by the amount of projects on the DeFi system

Oiler seems like interesting project that is not yet launched.

I think Bake with Bakery swap is quite interesting. It is a dex built on top of binance smart chain network therefore fees to swap or adding liquidity pools are way cheaper being paid in BNB.

Hi @amadeobrands

I believe the Polkadot ecosystem should be added to the DeFi system overview.
Polkadot is a network protocol that allows arbitrary data—not just tokens—to be transferred across blockchains.

Polkadot is a true multi-chain application environment where things like cross-chain registries and cross-chain computation are possible. Polkadot can transfer this data across public, open, permissionless blockchains as well as private, permissioned blockchains. This makes it possible to build applications that get permissioned data from a private blockchain and use it on a public blockchain. For instance, a school’s private, permissioned academic records chain could send a proof to a degree-verification smart contract on a public chain.

Parsiq makes it possible to turn blockchain data into actions. For example you could monitor a specific address from the blockchain and program a Parsiq action to send you a message to your telegram if there is any new transaction from that address.

Badger should be included

At least one of these could be added to the ecosystem

Everyone seems to be talking about Polkadot so it would be good to know more, although keeping this course up to date as the technology evolves so quickly is a full time job !

I like vechain, supply chain system

Polkadot, Parsiq, Thorchain, RSR, Ballancer, Band, Keeper Dao, etc.

This was a dense topic to cover, but I learned a lot. After understanding more about Defi and Dexes, I was able to move some Dai around to different exchanges, as well as use a Dex to lend some Dai. This technology has so much potential for humanity. Hey, I found this Dex, Balancer, but I haven’t used it. Has anyone here tried it? It looks simple enough.

Yes, ZKSwap with the ZKRollup, in the test format right, similar to UniSwap. It’s great if it get off the ground it’s cheaper, faster as gas prices of Ethereum are going up due to it’s heavy congestion. It take it all to a Layer-2. Saves on gas fees and you can easily close out with a signature. I’m loving this course, thanks.

YFDAI is a cool one. Only safe token listed and it provides all kinds of DeFi functions such as farming, lending, borrowing, etc.

I could not see https://support.celsius.network/hc/en-us on the CeFi section. I must be blind. :see_no_evil:
