Hi @amadeobrands,

I would like to know your assessment of Bankroll. I automatically thought it was scammy because its on Tron, but I read up on Tony Perkins and he seems like a standup guy and the project takes a different approach to DeFi. What say you sir?

You might want to keep exposure to that collateral.
So lets say you have 10ETH … you want to keep your 10ETH …
But you want to also get exposior to LEND token …
Then you can luck your 10ETH borrow DAI/USDC invest that in LEND …
If then LEND and ETH go up you make %++ more gains.

Overcoledilized loans are the
“hello world” of programebol money

Well what is a scam …
But yes everything to do with Mr. Justin … from tron is risky since it is not really a blockchain more of like a gamble … But there is for some reason a lot of people that like to gamble …

Focus on assets with real ZERO trust and not scams like TRON they will fail.

Hello Amadeo,

I am really enjoying the course. I like all of the links you put in the comments. For every hour of lecture I must spend at least twice that amount of time researching the links and other things you mention in the lesson. Thanks.

OK, I discovered Hydrogen ( https://www.hydrogenplatform.com/ ) from a list of List of Awesome Ethereum Decentralized Finance Projects but it says that it is a Fintech innovation. Which raises the question in my mind, what exactly is the difference between Fintech and DeFi? It says that, “Hydro is an ERC-20 token that is designed to help non-blockchain companies leverage the power of Ethereum smart contracts without overhauling their tech stack to be a blockchain product.” Doest this count as a project discovery for this assignment?

I’ts probably too hard to jump in to with no programming knowledge. But I would really want to learn how to program a flash loan (from scratch) and know perhaps a strategy around this and what type of ether/gas amount is required based on the transaction fee (how too calculate or estimate). Thank you!

I came across this see link below, it is interesting to see there are a lot of discussions happening to figure out Cefi and Defi bridging issues. Trust vs Trusless vs Hybrid solution.

Long but interesting.

I have a question regarding Stable coins, What is it ? Its use case ? I don’t understand what is the main purpose of it and why so many different stable coins in the crypto space when you can have 1 stable coin backing $1 fiat value.

Thank you

Lightning Network

I know it is not a new project and it’s not even a typical DeFi project but it definitly deserves place in DeFi Ecosystem overview. Lightning network could play important role in future of payments, not only with bitcoin but with other cryptocurrencies as well since it’s code is blockchain agnostic.

Hi
my input:

  • from the established ones, i am missing kyber - i think it is a good alternative to uniswap
  • also an older one is komodo (atomic swaps/dex)
  • promising imo is thorchain if they manage succeed with their ambitions
  • upcoming and very interesting: https://www.orionprotocol.io/ (complete trading platform incl. dex, liquidity-boosts, trading tokens for non-blockchain enterprise-clients)

thanks for the course and best wishes
