DeFi digital finance stack - Discussion

Hello amadeobrands,

Can you please provide me with more links on smart contract auditing methods, more specifically:

  1. Guides/tools for auditing smart contract code
  2. Functional review
  3. Procedural review

Thanks in advance for your time and consideration, happy new year and interesting course.

I don’t know if this is something that would be in DEFI necessarily, but I think it has a place on the blockchain and that is the food industry. It is sometimes unclear where food is from and mislabelling is also another problem. Using the blockchain, it can become transparent as to what’s going on in the food industry and it will be very clear where is it from and what is in the food.

Could FinTech companies like Revolut start using blockchain for their own wallet app? On these apps you can ‘buy’ Bitcoin and crypto, but there is no way to send these funds to a wallet. You only buy the shares of Bitcoin, unable to actually send it anywhere.

Thank you for the lessons. There are two things that caught my attention. One was Nexus Mutual, it was very interesting. I did not know you can purchase insurance for your smart contracts. It appears it has done very well and more people are using Nexus Mutual.

The second one was Synthetix! In the beginning of 2020 it was around 0.08 cents. Today, January 5th, 2021… SNX is at $12.63! A little over 1,000%!

Synthetix (SNX) is making it where anyone around the world with a smart phone can buy any asset around the world without any worry of regulation or breaking the law. This is good for crypto and the overall world economy. Synthetix might even be able to do better than they did in 2021! So awesome!

Hello. Thanks for the videos.
I think insurance is a strong narrative that will explode this year with the emergence of interesting projects.
Union is one of them:

Awesome course, I will definitely research it more thoroughly !!

DeFi digital finance stack - Discussion:

It appears that more sophisticated trading forms are now becoming available for traders. An example of that is Injective Protocol launching first decentralized Forex Futures platform. Users will be interacting with markets on Solstice Pro and trade up to 50x leverage.

Injective announced a strategic partnership with Fantom - this will accelerate synthetic asset adoption. This project is a first to offer new opportunities for market participants (traders) that were not available previously.

Amazing course @amadeobrands , i already try a lot of these stuff but now i get clear overview of the hole DeFi ecosystem.

Hi Amadeobrands

Thank you. Im now using Metamask and have made my first ETH transaction into this. I find the insurance protocols very interesting but as im very new to crypto education and tech even, it will take me a while to figure things out.
My concerns are really around the exchange of crypto into something real world spendable such as a debit card/ credit card…esspecially as UK banks are now restricting withdrawals to account
I wonder if this would be good add to the Defi stack or whether these things are already in the pipeline? if you know please could you advise?
Thank you

I am very happy you went app by app and explained in detail! I hold most of these tokens and now I have much better potential both how they work, what areas they cover and even have a bit better image of how much potential there is with these DeFi projects.

I went looking for some new blockchains contributing to the Defi market and a big one that came up is TCAP tokens to be launched by Chainlink. Apparently it is a new cryptocurrency that is fully collateralized. Looks very promising.

Ampleforth; AMPL looks like an interesting project looking to challenge bitcoin and stable coins.

im looking at maha dao , and aave wondering where might be the best place to stake, also yield app is just getting started

Amazing course and now I have a better understanding of how many DeFi projects there are and how much potential there is

I think a really nice blockchain to be looking at might be Cardano (ADA). They are also planning on introducing an ERC20 converter to migrate the smart contracts to their network. Their POS system might solve the gas fees from ETH problem before ETH 2.0. From my perspective this is a really nice and complete new Defi environment we should definitely keep an eye on.

I am looking into ADA as a project I’d like to learn more about and grow.

Right now I am looking at Trustswap which is a defi project that supports new projects. This is interesting to me because up until now all venture funding was gate kept for well connected and wealthy people but now it can be anyone who is able to do their own research

I am really bullish about Trustswap. At the moment I am really curious about Insurance tokens but have to go deeper with those. What is your favorite insurance token and why?
