Blockchain and Cryptocurrencies

Really enjoyed the course. Having been in crypto since 2017 I kind of knew all the terms used but struggled to put it into a narrative if ever anyone was willing to listen to me drone on about it.

Now I’ve got my hw notes it’s all slotted into place.

Ivan, I can’t get away from the academy. Investing in myself is proving to be the best decision I have made. I have purpose driving me again. No more mundane days of doing aimless work. Scattered work. Uncertain work. Here, I am learning how to be a deep thinker all over again. Thank you!

I’m curious too, would the farmer say have tokens the distributor could buy. Call em ā€œorganic tea tokensā€
and once bought then they would be shipped to the buyer?

I don’t know, I’m on my 3rd day, so, super green over here.

This course is phenomenal!

I’m loving this course! I spend more time on this course than my university courses and am eager to open up my laptop and learn! I guess that just stems from my passionate beliefs that blockchain will change the world for better and my desire to be a part of that.

By the way, here are the coins I am bullish on:
Cardano
Ethereum
Matic Network
Celsius
XRP
And obviously the Godfather: Bitcoin

I’m a newbie, with no programming knowledge, and enjoying every moment of my learning experience. I am eagerly anticipating completeing my first course and cannot wait to see what comes next.

We talk about transparency with relation to blockchain as a huge positive which I don’t disagree with however would this work for all areas of profession. For example, financial services in particular the trading of commodities – would transparency not be a bad thing? And would compliance actually limit the uptake of blockchain due to its ā€˜public’ ledger availability.

Would the lack of mass adoption of particular industries in the uptake of blockchain not limit the verification process?

Hi,

I’m a complete beginner. Can someone explain to me how supply chain tracking would work? Every supplier would have to be part of the blockchain protocol agreement… (I don’t even know what it would be), and if a supplier is not on this agreement, then you wouldn’t buy from them? I’m not fully understanding how it all works.

Thank you.

Well Bitcoin is not really meant for handling supply chains, so I’m not sure either. But there are projects that tackle this issues, one of them being OriginTrail. I encourage you you contact them and ask how they solve this.

I am not sure of the effect on the blockchain verification process yet, but the business that needs to integrate with the blockchain may have a problem with slower transactions. Hopefully as technology improves, also business integration solutions for small to large businesses improves and becomes relatively cost effective for more businesses.

What is interesting about this course is the innovative aspects that are relevant to change. It is like the ā€œWild Westā€ of our times. Sure, the internet beginnings were amazing. The transformation from Blockchain is going to be interesting to be a part of.

I like learning bits and pieces each day. I will have more time in the Summer for the tougher courses (programming). Getting into the accounting field after graduation May 2021, and what I have been learning so far, has my imagination swirling. I think about a project I would initially like to do and am leaning on doing a survey app.

I did a Hospitality Management degree (completed 2019) and developed a marketing plan for a pizzeria/sportsbar, with a coffee shop in the AM hours. I was so interested in developing an app for ordering both in restaurant and takeout. But, there is so much more to think about. Go BTC, go crypto, go Ivan on Tech Academy!!! Let’s do some special things, whatever they may be. I am committed…

I love the use of your mind maps for this. I’m good with language but am a visual learner. However, I didn’t grow up in an era where a lot of visual tools were used. Seeing your maps makes me think that I should look into this more. It feels much more natural.
