Thus far, I have a clearer understanding of how the blockchain works and its importance. :+1: :+1:

Awesome explanation !

ivan i think he put a picture because it represents a blockchain

This was an excellent class. I have been listening and learning about crypto for years but this lesson gave me a grasp and fresh look at the blockchain technology.

@ivan, @filip,hire some

I cannot imagine a more informative and well managed learning environment about Blockchain. I believe you have created something here that will be remembered as responsible for the next wave of professionals and visionaries in the space and I am honored to share this experience.

I can see that I would indeed hire someone that has put in the work to achieve mastery of this material.

You will be remembered, both of you, as founders of this new era of history.

Happy to be part of this

Although the first portion of the course work did not have a whole lot of new information for me I found it very helpful that I had to sit down and put my thoughts into words. :keyboard:
That’s the moment where you can actually tell if you understood something or need to refresh/improve your knowledge.
I’m really looking forward to exchange ideas, ask for help and provide it to others once the learning curve gets steeper. And I’m sure it will… :person_climbing:

In Twitter, several days ago I read the following tweet by a user:

"

I see more long term opportunities in Blockchain than Bitcoin. It is more powerful and will have more impact on society & financial markets than BTC. Bitcoin is overhyped by early investors and its long term price solely depends on brandname & hype, not utility. Prove me wrong."

My reply was:

Two claims; both opinion. First I agree; blockchain, will certainly go beyond BTC on society impact. Second claim, I dissent; BTC has its place due to being first. ā€œOverhypedā€ implies you think there is ā€œbetterā€ but ā€œbetterā€ =not ā€œwidely acceptedā€; hence value.

Share your thoughts.

I agree that blockchain :link: technology will be a game changer based on the utility it brings to different aspects of life (but not all!).
I disagree with the opinion that BTC is overhyped for many reasons but one in particular: absolute (mathematically provable) scarcity can exist only once by definition :snowflake:.
If the world - particularly its ā€œleadersā€ - can muster a modicum of reason over the next few decades this must lead to BTC’s acceptance as the only neutral money that can exist.
I rather doubt human nature in this scenario than the underlying axioms of BTC :abacus:.

:grinning: Feel free to disagree with me! Debating arguments helps me understand the world.

Wow, Thanks Ivan! Your passion in this space and enthusiasm that shines through each step throughout the course makes each and every part of this journey an exciting experience! Totally enjoying every moment of being here and looking forward to learning more :grinning:
I now see that legacy school systems will not be able to provide such bleeding edge education offered here… the pace of how quickly the technology is moving forward, by the time someone writes a textbook for the legacyschools, the information contained within will likely be outdated/obsolete… and this is even before getting the textbook to the printing press!

So far I am also totally enthusiastic. Learning is the best thing a person can do. I am looking forward to what I will build up here in knowledge.

Provenance is where it was created, where it got started. Traceability is where what occurred in the process of creating a thing or selling it or ownership etc. So they are different.

Where can you get certified?

Hi Ivan!Do you think it is possible or even nesessery time stamp each transaction?

You will receive a certificate in your inbox once you complete a course.

You know when it was confirmed based on the block timestamp. But there is no timestamp of when the transaction was created so all you can get is an approximation based on when the tx arrived to the mempool.
