Blockchain and Cryptocurrencies

Thx, for the answer. I will think about it, for now I need to finish my courses and see where it lead me from there. But every 14 days would be something to consider

I joined the academy not knowing absolutely anything about this new technology/industry and what I see is a whole new world emerging. I’m super excited to continue to learn. Blockchain is the technology that allows bitcoin (cryptocurrency) to work. The blockchain (global data base) is essentially a public immutable ledger that provides greater transparency, enhanced security, improved traceability, increase efficiency and speed and reduces cost by cutting most third parties.
If anyone has any advice or suggestion for some who is newbie like myself please feel free to share with me

Welcome. Ypou will not regret it  :+1:

Yes. Click the big ā€œMARK AS COMPLETEā€ button at the bottom, after the link. To do this, you must return to the previous window that shows your completed and next lessons. Go to the bottom once you are there and you will see ā€œMARK AS COMPLETEā€. Just click it, then select the small "NEXT LESSON that appears just below it, after it changes to a ā€œCOMPLETEā€.

Today in crypto Ethereum is up over 9 percent and Bitcoin is on track to 14k in the next few months stock to flow is looking good. Date 1st of September 2020

Being a non-technical student and working full-time, I really appreciate the innovative thought that went into how the classes are structure. Be it I’m just in Blockchain 101 - but the brief videos allow for longer retention of information. I especially like how Ivan nicely go above the current video and share additional knowledge. This is a motivator to understand what he is highlighting for a future class. I can’t wait to learn of the various cryptocurrencies and get more knowledge in entering this market.

My digestion is slow

What a course Ivan ! I am a jeweller by profession but cryptos always caught my attention. With no knowledge in the IT field i think this course will certainly change the way i look at things and perceive blockchain.

Hi,
Thanks for the reminder here. I had a look at Thortspace but personally it didn’t feel great to me in terms of a feeling of clutter.

I found an alternative in canva which I have used for design in the past and can personally vouch for if anyone else feels the same

Drink green tea

Certainly Canva provides more presentation-ready mind maps. But I don’t think it scales well to whole course-sized maps.

Because of one commented answer of mine, my question of hackers realistic or unrealistic threat started dancing in my head.

-> How much perfection is in / at the blockchain conception?

-> Is it complete resources lost to even think about hacking anything on/of blockchain?

-> More ethically, what would it be to win by breaking down the evolution of humanity?

Sometimes philosophy runs quicker than me.

Hi guys, hope everyone is enjoying this space as much as I do! I am from a entirely different background (hairdressing for 20 years). Been following Ivan on Youtube for a few weeks and true to his words, the content are easy to follow and understand.

P.s Hope I won’t take back my words when I start the programming courses :joy:

The first time I truly spend time to understand blockchain is reading Blockchain Revolution by Don and Alex Tapscotts And the rest is history.

Nothing is perfect.

Depending on the chain, some low cap coins can be fairly easy to hack with someone with a small mining farm.

Earning a quick buck like in the Ethereum classic example a while ago.

Hope I satisfied your philosophy with a satisfying answer :stuck_out_tongue:
