Thanks, I enjoyed the clear explanation of blockchain 1.0 and 2.0
Summarize this course
Blockchain is a digital network of computers where all nodes must come into agreement of data validity giving us Consensus. The network is maintained by miners 24/7, 7days a week, no sleep till Brooklyn! They are Financially incentivized per block verification. This allows for the network to always be accessible therefor creating a highly available network. It is also a public ledger allowing for provenance to grant us the HISTORY of all transactions. All the transaction on the blockchain are immutable eliminating potential fraud giving true Security, replacing Trust with Fast Transaction Verification
Thank you all for the classes I signed up in the hopes that one day I can really land a nice paying job on the crypto world, but now that Iāve been watching all the videos I am understanding more and more it is a huge ecosystem with multiple opportunities not only for work but for my own business, the only problem so far is that Iāve never coded script in my entire life! hehe I understand about computers as I my self are a technician but never cross my mind to gap the bridge and code as a career and here Iām hehe cross fingers and hope for the best, Iām confident with your courses I can achieve what you said we all can. Iām very excited thatās for sure!
I was thinking recently on the possibility of digitizing the Project finance industry and placing that on the blockchain to simplify the flow of liquidity to places and projects that need it in the world.
Hi Ivan, I have been in the cryptoworld for a very long time. Now I am also trying to get the certificates. I am always learning something new here in the courses. Which I would very much like to see, if you would bring the certification to the blockchain. At the end of the day theoretically anyone could download a certificate from the net and forge it! Do you already plan to bring the certificates to the Blockchain? If not, Iād like to join this project, if you give me three months to get into programming
I have one question.
How are release notes or future improvements, upgrades handled in a blockchain if there is no organization or entity managing this?
Hey so basically all communication and upgrade paths are discussed by the community online on different channels like on the Bitcointalk forum or IRC. Once they are drafted they are commited to a special repo set up on Guthub called BIPs (Bitcoin Improvement Proposals).
All upgrades to the bitcoin protocol are first described and discussed in these proposals and if they are accepted by the community they eventually get implemented.
Youāve created a world of knowledge
Seems like I made the right choice for a learning program with the activity of the community and content from the academy. Canāt wait to see where this journey takes meā¦āin pumpamentals we trustā put it on a tshirt Ivan! lol
Hey there, I have a very basic question on the security of blockchain. There is a lot of discussion out there on quantum computing and the potential power of it. So, would a decisive step forward in quantum computing not make the player who got it powerful in a way that all current encryption and the power of the blockchain network become useless and easy to hack?
Most quantum computers mostly do a specific task and its not necessary they will be able to break security. If that happens the network can still fork to a quantum resistant algorythm.
Real nice, this content has been very educational thus far.
It was rather interesting to learn that persons have been so motivated to make their own coins and that it is not very difficult, although I have no clue, yet, how the coins are made and generated for others to purchase, them. Amazing to, also, learn that there have been thousands of coins presented, but the various communities have begun to learn to filter out the worthwhile coins from those that will have little traction in the market.
What are the steps needed to make a coin?
I realize that I should not have said that I have no clue about how coins are made, because we did have the background of what happened with coinage in England, as a part of one of the assignments. That, however, was a government/royalty having the āpeopleāsā money with which to play. As an individual gathering information about the crypto society, what would be the suggested, best steps to take in developing and presenting a crypto coin?
It depends on what kind of coin do you want to make, you can fork the Bitcoin source code (or any other project out there) or create an ERC20 token on Ethereum. There are also many tools out there that help you create your own blockchain like Tendermint for example. Basically it all depends on your needs.
You can check this bitcointalk thread that has step by step instructions on how to fork the Bitcoin core source code and start your own blockchain from it.
Awesome course learning a lot of new things!!!
I appreciate both the speed and clarity of the courses so far. Definitely has helped me grasp a better understanding of what I see as a definite disrupt and paradigm shift. Looking forward to more. Also helped me fit my Big Boy Pants even better.
Hi Ivan, great course. I like the fact that the course is short, combined with small assignments along the way. You explain complex matters and systems in a simple compressed way, which brings clarity to the concepts. What the course lacks is to have a live session with the teacher once a week, it will boost the learning curve a lot for all the students.
There are some live Q&As every now and then, but having them once a week is a bit much. You can enroll in the bootcamp and have live sessions with an instructor
