Can be blockchain faster than cloud? What are benefits of blockchain in comparison with cloud besides decentralization and transparency?
The blockchain has completely different use case than the cloud. Blockchain is a distributed and the cloud is basically a farm of centralized servers for the web infrastructure. I wouldnât really compare the two.
You can run a blockchain node in the cloud, but you canât run a cloud on the blockchain.

Itâs very cool to see so many people interested in blockchain in here (contrary to the âphysicalâ world in which almost no one know about this fascinating technology). Almost everything has been said throughout the more than 400 post of this thread so I hope to learn a lot more and also to contribute to the questions of other people that are just starting

@filip Hey Filip, please explain how most people are so confident on the security of the SHA256 algorithm. If someone/a group of people invented it, doesnât that surely mean that that person has the backdoor to the algorithm. Does this not have catastrophic implications for bitcoin in the future? Struggling to understand this, please help!

It is used to reduce inefficiencies and is decentralized. It can be applied to a lot of different markets and will create new careers and opportunities.
SHA256 exists for more than a decade now and has been tested rigorously, had multiple peer reviews and is open source.
Up to this point no one has cracked it yet.

I believe in this day and age âTransparencyâ has become a necessary ideology. With Blockchain technology it is possible to achieve a more advance economic technological platform. Really, its benefits are like a galaxy waiting to be explored.

For me the biggest benefits of using blockchain is transparency and decentralisation. That is something that has never seen before in society and it will make changes on the world that we know today.

The fact that you can do a monetary transaction with anyone, anywhere in the world, without a third party is a huge deal.
I live in Sweden. I can go to the savanna in Africa, look up a local shepherd, pick up my cell phone and buy a couple of goats from him, and nobody can stop us from doing the deal.
If youâre not into goats, say you are a small business owner in Europe that wants to do some work on your webpage. You can do business with an entrepreneurial kid doing web design, working from a sidewalk in Calcutta. It doesnât matter that the kid is poor and has no bank account. Two good people from different parts of the world can still do business with each other. Crypto will revolutionize our existence, most people just have not realized it yet.

In the future can we expect the hand of an authority to put a hand on blockchain technology or it is not possible at all? My perspective and deep desire is to escape from the system which is until now completely corrupt in all segments of life.
My understanding of blockchain is that it creates transparency through decentralized and secure technology. It makes almost any avenue within any industry much more efficient. Iâm excited to be here and learn from and with you all.
