Activity Lesson 2

BI make sure I leave some time every day to do a number of things that are essential to the smooth running of my week, but I could be more efficient by making a rota to prevent too much self-indulgence, in my spare time. Doing this course is actually an example of utilising time better.

Spare time can be organised more productively, so that "all of it ", is not wasted living self-indulgently and many waste significant time through surfing content satisfying feelings of nostalgia, commonality with others, as well as having periods of living vicariously. An example might be: tuning in to a football you Tube channel which serves passions and prejudices,Inclusive of a certain group. Much of this is happening without people even realising the reassons for it.

I own and operate a small business. Sometimes when I identify and area of the business that has a deficiency or an area that looks ripe with opportunity, I rush to fix the deficiency or take advantage of the opportunity. I could take a little more time researching to make sure I’ve found the solution that will be best instead of jumping on the first solution which sometimes fails.

I’ve actually already started this change. I decided to stop wasting my time watching Netflix and amazon prime shows and use that time to study here at the Ivan on Tech Academy.

Well, seeing this course is directly related to cryptocurrency, I succumb to FOMO. Possibly because humans are hard wired to fear missing out or being left behind, or its just my nature.
FOMO typically ends with someone buying in to a position when it is on the rise and then after a concentration and usually a dip, panic selling … only to see the asset rise back above the previous highs; thus losing money all around.
So, recently I have tried to take a different tact and purchase of assets I believe in and therefore regardless of day to day fluctuations I am resigned to HODL,

I could certainly trade 30 mins of entertainment for a 30 min jog. The payoff would be higher energy level and I would probably still be just as entertained without an extra 30 mins.

Spend less time in listening to market assumptions and paper money experts about crypto currency, and focus more are collecting it for the ultimate change from fiat money into fiat digital currency world-wide rebalancing consensus.

Also dont throw away your old hard drives , they just might be full of treasure lol

  1. I can show you a change that I already made. I love to exercise, but I always felt guilty that for keeping myself fit I should spend quite a lot of money every year in gyms, sessions, etc…, especially if all of that wouldn’t bring much result. So I revised a plan that consisted in altering my daily routine to achieve better results by not going to the gym at all and become self trained. After 1 year and swapping 10 kilos of fat with a much shredded body, and the obvious money saving, I can tell you that this has worked brilliantly. The guilt has disappeared and now everyday I am outside in the nature, actually enjoying my exercise.

30 minutes less of playing video games and putting those 30 minutes towards Ivan on Tech Academy. This would benefit my future.

Reduce time I spend on social media in favor for Crypto training

I could spend less on time on entertainment and more on education.

I could eat out less and only eat dinner

One of my habits is going to the coffee shop as a morning routine, funny that this course asks this question because perhaps now is the time to change this as I have thought about it in the past. I find it very gratifying to go to my local coffee shop and to see people and to have one or two cups of coffee, but I could also just enjoy having my coffee at home and therefore it seems that I really have not given it proper thought, I don’t specifically need to go to the coffee shop straight away to have my coffee and if I do have it at home I could be saving time and money and be more gratified in the long run.

When I learn or exercise I gratitude myself with watching worthless content on YT or TV for 30 min -1 hr. It would be amazing to exchange that for meditation es a example and benefit from in in a longer period of time  I am going to try from today.

The biggest change i made a few years ago was to not watch television. This made a huge difference to the activities i did and the learning i undertook and i found myself being in my lounge less and less and in my kitchen and study more and more. This had a really positive impact on life. I also removed Facebook and other social media from my life (excluding Youtube which is useful for learning) and subscribed to podcasts and music that made me feel good. This had a really positive impact on my sense of worth and also on my mental health (which wasn’t in a bad place anyway but is in an even better place now)
I also chose to remove negative people from my life. And to learn to be happy with my own company so i could choose when i wanted company. All of those i saw as short term trade offs for longer term gains and it made a difference to other activities i undertook such as exercise, learning, reading and the type of food i ate.
All in all, i have always applied this to money, only spending what was necessary and learning to live on a set income. This has been very positive so i can identify with some of the things people are saying in this thread and the differences it has made to their lives.

It will be very useful for me if I spend at least one hour every day on my education, as in sports. Disabling social networks.

My partner and I have been using far too much food delivery over the last year. We could limit deliveries to one day a week as a treat and compound from there for major effects both financially and health-wise. Living my days in sweat pants has hidden an ā€œinconvenient truthā€ of weight gain.

I could cut twenty minutes out of the time I spend on my phone after work and apply it towards cooking more at home. In time i would expect a healthier diet and perhaps a bit more cash in the bank.

Well i think for me it would be limit streaming time to only one episode. As it was before. An episode a day keeps the trouble away. Ok i adapted the famous apple saying to my streaming habbit. Bot yes this is it.
