NYDFS approval included a detailed overvieew of the technology and tha development of a specific and comprehensive plan to address any challenges the new virtual currency might bring about. Mentioned also direct compliance with all KYC, AML requirements and full disclosure, cooperation, and compliance with all state, federal, and potential international laws and standards. Gemini initially only supported shielded addresses for Deposits and not transactions, but as of September 29th, 2020 has now included support for shielded addresses for withdrawals as well.
