  2. That with some time the complexity of any program grows and it becomes quite difficult to understand, if we don’t keep it well organized. So keep it as simple as possible.

From by short experience programming in Highschool it was frustrating and also boring. This was because the way it was delivered as it was more theory based and less practical. I would barely count it as I have forgotten everything.

To assists programmers by allowing them to conveniently code a set of instructions for computers to perform specific actions on a higher level.

Java and JavaScript are programming languages that have nothing to do with each other. Java was being heavily marketed and gaining popularity, so JavaScript was named to try ride along the success.

A program is a precise set of instructions that tells a computer what to do.

Computers are simple, mathematical devices which means that programmers and coders must get things right. This can prove difficult, as code comes with rules, which often requires other sets of rules to help dictate program functions. The art of programming is a skill which requires trying to control this complexity.

Programming languages inherently, are all trying to do the same thing; instruct a computer in how to behave. However the functions of different languages can differ and have changed over time. At the birth of programming, code was nothing more than a set of 0’s and 1’s - overtime this has changed into interfaces with alphabetic code which both humans and computers can understand.

There is no relationship between Java and JavaScript. Java was simply an already pre-existing programming language that was popular at the time - and the marketing team at JavaScript thought it would be a good idea to have a similar name - to try and ride on the back of Java’s success.

JavaScript follows the ECMA standard which was brought about by an international community that decided upon having ECMA as a standardised coding form. They are essentially two names, for the same language.

  2. The fundamental rules of programming are simple and clear however by building programs on top of these rules the programs develop their own rules and complexities. It can therefore be frustrating in the same manner as a maze or similar problem.

  4. JavaScript has no relationship to Java and the name was devised in an attempt to capitalize on the popularity of Java as a programming language at the time it (JavaScript) was launched.
