    OSPEAD - Fortifying Monero Against Statistical Attack
    The current decoy selection algorithm (DSA) has been acknowledged as a weak point in Monero’s privacy model. It has always been known that statistical attacks are possible on ring signatures in Monero.
    Proposed fix: Optimal Static Parametric Estimation of Arbitrary Distributions (OSPEAD). Overhauled DSA determined by OSPEAD will be 70-90% less vulnerable to statistical attack than transactions that use the current DSA.

    Independently published on Medium, readership is supported by social media efforts. The greatest challenge for the proposer is the time commitment. The contributor has currently achieved 2 of 3 milestones. The project has 44 contributors and a total project funding of 18XMR.

$50,000 maximum to spend per Tesla, 3 Teslas $150,000.
18 contributors.

Monero.FM, the Monero community run radio station.
The payout for license acquisition and initial costs has already been funded and the payout for music after licenses have been secured is in progress.
The goal is creating (and running) a monetized [to be sustainable after the initial CCS money] Monero Radio Station and will suppose a new way for the community to connect also being a platform to get high quality information out to listeners about upcoming updates, new CCS’s to fund and even teaching opportunities for newbies if it grows large enough.

1.) The core team of developers decides when a project moves from “Ideas” to “Funding Required” after the community reaches a loose consensus on advancing the idea.
2.) The “Completed Task” with the highest budget was “RandomX Audits”. The total USD value of this budget at the time was around $118,000 (which is probably a little more in current time due to rapid inflation and the price rise of XMR), and there were 40 contributors for the idea.
3.) The current USD value of all “Work in Progress” is 7,101XMR, or $1,334,988 (calculated with XMR’s current market price of $188).
4.) The project I chose from the “Work in Progress” section is “Translation Coordinator for the Monero Project”. The work being done in this project is to manage community members, the weblate, repositories, and translation processes as a whole. The Monero project has always benefitted from having well structured and consistent translations across its resources, and keeping these translations coordinated helps to prevent merging conflicts with ideas being added to the project. Community focus on Weblate and other open-source platforms towards Monero can also be improved with the coordination of these translations.

The community will discuss pro’s and cons, and once a core team member takes into account discussion from the community, they are able to move the project from the ideas phase to the funding required phase.

On May 20th 2019, Howard Chu proposed the RandomX Audits, which was funded for 1,400XMR.
Its value at the time was worth approximately $118,000USD.

I propose to work for 3 months, spending 30 hours a week on Monero Core and Monero GUI, specifically on topics such as (in this order):
