As Ethereum continues to roll out all the functionality of 2.0 I think that will improve speed and transaction fees on L1. But there are a lot of L2s that are using different types of rollups. So I think we will continue to see a diverse landscape with many different solutions used by different projects. Maybe sometime further in the future it will be consolidated somehow.
