Homework on Ethereum Intro

  1. What was Web 1.0?
Web 1.0 was static web pages text and images only.

  2. What is a smart contract?
A smart contract is a contact that has programmable outcomes.

  3. How is transparency achieved with ethereum code?
Everyone can view the rules for the smart contract, enter into the contract, and see the outcomes.

  1. What was Web 1.0?
Static web pages containing mostly text, links and images, but nothing dynamic.

  2. What is a smart contract?
A self executing piece code that runs on a distributed and decentralized blockchain network. The code specifies the terms of the contract.

  3. How is transparency achieved with ethereum code?
Everything is open and anybody can see the code constituting the smart contracts and nothing can be modified or stopped once it is on the blockchain.

  1. Web 1.0 was the first version of web, where webpages were static with no dynamic content, just text, images and links.

  2. A smart contract is a peace of code, therefore a small program, that can be used to retain funds and process those funds based on a set of rules defined within the smart contract.

  3. Transparency is achieved due to the fact that smart contracts allow one to see all the data processed. I mean, anyone can see who sent and received money to and from the smart contract, which are the main purpose of ethereum network.

  1. Web 1.0 was the initial version of web where only static webpages with text pictures and links.

  2. a smart contract is a piece of code that can be executed and is stored in the Ethereum blockchain. The code basically defines the contractual agreements/conditions that you want to make.

  3. transparency is achieved because all of the code for the smart contract are stored in the blockchain where anyone can simply see it but cannot modify it.

  1. Web 1.0 only allowed for the reading and sharing of information. (text, images, & links)
  2. A program that automatically executes when certain parameters are met.
  3. By all of the data being available to trace and review.

  1. Web 1.0 was simply text, links & images.

  2. Is programmed money. Or an input with an output that has prerequisites that need to be met 1st.

  3. Everyone can view the data. Its like a glass box. Anyone can see inside but only I have the key.

  1. Web 1.0 is the beginning of internet that shared text, links, and images.
  2. A smart contract is a piece of code that programs money. Certain parameters must be met to release the money.
  3. Transparency is achieved with ethereum by allowing all transactions to be viewable to everyone.

  1. Web 1.0 was a static version of the internet which was mostly presentation-oriented hard coded html-based pages. They displayed information to the user but did not offer much in terms of interaction.

  2. A smart contract is an agreement between parties that is written in computer code. It can be implemented and executed without trust of the other party. Only understanding of the code itself is required.

  3. Transparency is achieved by anyone being able to access and read the code which is permissionless and exists on an open decentralized network.

  1. Web 1.0 was the web of static websites which could only contain predefined content (text, images, hyperlink…) but not be dynamically updated based on the interaction with the user

  1. What was Web 1.0? [Andy] Web 1.0 only had static text, image.
  2. What is a smart contract? [Andy] A programmatic set of code is put on a blockchain network.
  3. How is transparency achieved with ethereum code? [Andy] It is achieved because all the codes are stored and protected by blockchain PoW or PoS mechanism.

  2. What is a smart contract?
A smart contract is a contract which can executed entirely by itself fully dependent on the code that has been programmed into it. Smart contracts are programmed to control money and business transactions without the need of a 3rd party institution.

  3. How is transparency achieved with Ethereum code?
Transparency is achieved in ethereum code through the same Proof of Work (POW) as in the Bitcoin blockchain. Once the code of a smart contract is deployed, it is irreversible.

Web 1.0 consisted of static websites and limited coding from HTML and CSS.

A smart contract is a conditional bit of code that allows someone to program money. “If this happens, send this person 1 BTC” for example. It’s an added layer of code onto the currency.

Transparency is achieved with the Ethereum code in the same way that it is with Bitcoin code; All transactions are public but are hashed several times and approved by many nodes throughout the network. They are all connected by the previous transactions code, and hashes work in such a way that if one small detail is changed from transaction, the entire hash and therefore every hash on the blockchain is now changed. No false transactions can occur and each transaction can be audited in real time.

  1. Web 1.0 transmitted text and images. Web 2.0 allows for interfaces such as websites.
  2. Smart contracts allow money or data to be transferable when certain programmed conditions are met.
  3. Just as in Bitcoin, the code and chain are public, immutable and accessible.

The web before java script

  1. What is a smart contract?

A Blockchain program that you can enter variables for the contract to execute.

    It’s open source like Bitcoin

  1. Web 1.0 was the internet as it existed early into its inception. It consisted mainly of text, images, and links and served only to read and share information.

  2. A smart contract is a piece of code that runs on the ethereum blockchain.

  3. Transparency is achieved on the ethereum blockchain through the same blockchain mechanism as bitcoin. All transactions are viewable on chain and the code that is contained within the smart contracts is therefore also audit-able.

  1. Web 1.0 was the first structure of the internet which you could only have text, images and links in the network.

  2. Smart contract is programmable code using the Etheruem network. Smart contract are used to execute things such, money transfer, asset management, contract etc.

  3. Since smart contracts are seen by everybody in the network, it increases transparency throughout the network. Nobody can change, omit or delete code within the smart contract. It cant be reversed.

What was Web 1.0?
Answer: Web 1.0 was a set of static web pages connected by hyperlinks

What is a smart contract?
Answer: A smart contract is a programmable, self-executing series of code on the blockchain that automatically executes when a set of pre-defined criteria are met (i.e. when inventory drops below a 10% threshold, order more material).

How is transparency achieved with ethereum code?
Answer: Everyone can see all transactions. They are open and transparent.

1.What was Web 1.0?
Web 1.0 was just a boring read only web it only
allowed search and read information no Javascript or dynamic

2.What is a smart contract?
Smart contracted is where a code is made of on EThereum blockchain
move money around automatically without the need of a user to control it

3.How is transparency achieved with ethereum code?
Transparency is achieved because there are no intermediaries involved and
all smart contracts are on the blockchain for everyone to see.

a code that holds terms/conditions specified, that , once deployed, cannot be reverted and always obeys the rules specified in the code
  3. How is transparency achieved with ethereum code?
