Homework on Ethereum Intro

  1. The web 1.0 was static, had images, text , links and had no Java Script.

  2. Small Pieces of Code running on the ETH-Blockchain.

  3. Each Transaction is visible on the Blockchain therefore transparant for all users.

What was web1.0?

  1. Web 1.0 is the term used to refer to the first stage of development on the World Wide Web that was characterized by simple static websites .

What is a smart contract?

  1. A smart contract is a computer protocol intended to digitally facilitate , verify , or enforce the negotiation or performance of a contract . Smart contracts allow the performance of credible transactions without third parties. These transactions are trackable and irreversible.

How is transparency achieved with the Ethereum code?

  1. When using Ethereum smart contracts a whole host of functions become automated and are transparent to the public

Genesis Vision offers an open source of reliable information about the statistics of the network participants’ activities and an absolutely transparent system of investment and profit distribution using smart contracts.

Homework on Ethereum Intro - Questions. (Questions were updated on Dec 3 2019 )

What was Web 1.0?
Web 1.0 was a boring place without interaction and a bit static.
Only able to input information and pictures and few information and pictures.

What is a smart contract?
A smart contract are small programmable codes on the ethereum network.

How is transparency achieved with ethereum code?

  • You can see who is sending the transactions in the smart contracts.
  • Ones implemented, no one can change the contract.

  1. Web 1.0 was the first internet ability when the only applicable things to do there was just storing simple script, pictures and links
  2. A Smart Contract is a simple programming code which can store and interact with the data automatically
  3. Transparency achieved by making the Smart Contract available to be read for all users

1.The first version of internet with static websites where it wasn’t really possible for users to interact or communicate with each other, like to chat or share videos etc.

2.Some line of code which enables to program money (crypto currencies) or digital assets like crypto Kitty’s or in the near future financial products like shares.

3.The transparency by ETH is achieved with the same principle as BTC. Once the small contract is added to the blockchain we can’t change the way it behaves or interact, it is like a BTC transaction you can’t go backwards to a previous block and change the smart contract and remind all the blocks.

  1. What was Web 1.0?
The first version of the internet, with basic text etc…
  2. What is a smart contract?
It is created by solidity software and it is an application/programme, that is added to the ethereum blockchain.
  3. How is transparency achieved with ethereum code?
It is achieved in the same way as with the bitcoin blockchain. If anything is altered it will change all of the hash.

  1. What was Web 1.0?- It only allowed programmers to create static website which inlcuded text, links and images. It was not dynamic. You could not included chats, accounts etc.
  2. What is a smart contract? - Smart contract made on Ethereum blockchain is like programable money which once deployed cannot be changed.
  3. How is transparency achieved with ethereum code: The code is transparent and can be audited and everybody can see the movement of transactions.

  1. Old static websites. Era before javascript where you could not do many changes & have variations like whatsapp/fb/different interfaces for different logged in users.

  2. It is a code (set of instructions on blockchain) where money can be programmed without trust. And if certain conditions are met, value could be transferred without dispute.

  3. Because all nodes have the smart contract copy (and the EVM copy) and every node can execute the same set of instructions, and verify states.

  1. Web 1.0 is the first iteration of the Web where it was quite a static space, with just Text, images and links. It was not dynamic at that point. IE: Users did not interact with web-pages or each other yet.

  2. a “Smart Contract” is an individual bit of code stored on the block-chain that automatically self-executes if-and-when the terms of that contract are reached or completed. (These terms are set out before the contract is uploaded onto the block-chain). Once on the block-chain, it can not be tampered with or changed. No third party is required.

  3. Transparency is achieved by having it on the block-chain which cannot be changed and can be viewed by everyone at all times. The auto self executing part also delivers some autonomy which translates to further transparency.

  1. What was Web 1.0?

Web 1.0 is the old version of the internet in which all pages were static and contained basic text, images and links.

  1. What is a smart contract?

Small pieces of code that can hold money and can perform actions with it, without an intermediary. They are unstoppable programs designed to send money to a recipient once the conditions are fullfilled. There are no intermediaries involved.

  1. How is transparency achieved with ethereum code?

It is transparent because everyone can see what is happening with that contract.

  1. What was Web 1.0?
  • Web 1.0 was the first version of the “internet”. At this very beginning we had no Java or easy way to implement scripts to eg. our homepages. The web was very basis with almost no abilities.
  1. What is a smart contract?
  • A smart contract is a small piece of code, who runs for eg. at etherium blockchain. This piece of code make it possible to code for contracts between people or companies. This code is your trust in if some rules are met, the code til execute some kind og responce. I could be like when i sell my car, it will automaticly cansel my payments of the car and polices. and all documentation and ownership has changes to the new ower of the car.
  1. How is transparency achieved with etherium code?
  • By the code and the transparency at the blockchain Tx.

1/ What was web 1.0 ?

Web 1.0 you could only show txts & images maybe links, the sites were very boring & static
& thats it. !

2/ What is a smart contract.?

A smart contract is small pieces of code that run on the Ethereum contract.

3/ How is Transparency achieved with ethereum code.?

Everybody can see what is happening to the money, & impossible to reverse an ethereum code.
The fact that its been deployed on the blockchain network, you cannot change the behaviour of the contract.

  1. Web 1.0 was the first evolution of the World Wide Web consisting of static web pages with text images and links. Then - with the introduction of javascript Web 2.0 was born, given the possibillity of programmable/dynamic web pages with customized user intercation

  2. A smart contract is a piece of code running on the blockchain, meaning it is transparant, immutable and irreversable once deployed to the chain (Unless you decide to roll back the chain as Ethereum did with the famous DAO hack!)

  3. The Ethereum blockchain is a public permissionless blockchain, meaning anyone can see the inside of all blocks on the chain, and hence see the smart contract code

  1. What was Web 1.0?
The time where the internet was just about reading and sharing information by providing only text and images.

  2. What is a smart contract?
A smart contract is a protocol running on ethereum, which can be programmed to do any kind of output when certain conditions are met.

  3. How is transparency achieved with ethereum code?
Because the code can be seen by anyone and it cannot be changed once it runs.

  2. Basically programmable money allowing transactions without intermediaries or third parties.
  3. Anyone can view the code and thus know what the purpose of the smart contract is making it transparent. Nothing can be changed either without running into the same problems as with the bitcoin blockchain.
