Homework on Ethereum Intro

  1. Web 1.0 is a static web page. You can read info from a website page and share info but you can not interact

  2. Smart contract is code that runs on the Blockchain. The code is able to both store funds and decide how the funds should behave. Smart contracts, like a TX, is immutable once it has been appended to the block chain.

  3. Transparency is achieved by making all smart contracts visible to the public, but immutable once appended to the block chain.

  1. What was Web 1.0?
Websites that use Web 1.0 have very low funcionality. There is just text and pictures
  2. What is a smart contract?

  3. How is transparency achieved with ethereum code?
Just like a BTC it uses blockchain, everything that have been written cant be modified(like transactions and contracts)

  1. What was Web1.0?
This refers to the first stage of the World Wise Web, this was before Java Script.
  2. What is a Smart Contract?
Small pieces of code on the Block Chain, forming a self-executing contract.
  3. How is transparency achieved with Ethereum code?
All the data are transparent and available to be traced by anybody because it is on the Blockchain it is transparent, but confidentiality is achieved by encryption.

  1. What was Web 1.0?

It consisted of static websites that were limited to texts, images, & links.

  1. What is a smart contract?

Smart contract is small pieces of code run on the Ethereum blockchain. It is programmed to perform a task when certain conditions are met. It is completely unstoppable, completely transparent, and trustless.

  1. How is transparency achieved with ethereum code?

Everyone can see all of its transactions.

  1. What was Web 1.0?
It is the first ā€œnon-interactiveā€ version of the web.
  2. What is a smart contract?
It is a piece of code that runs on the Ethereum blockchain.
  3. How is transparency achieved with ethereum code?
The Ethereum blockchain and smart contracts that run on top of it work under the
same principles and use the same technology that powers bitcoin, cryptography ensures its transparency.

  1. It was static, so you could only check text, images and links
  2. A smart contract is a small piece of code that runs on the ETH blockchain. It can own (hold) money and decide what to do with it
  3. It is transparant because it will only work if you get the job done, no cheating + everybody can check the blockchain

  1. What was Web 1.0?
it is the internet before javascript
static, boring, can only use text, some images, and links.

  2. What is a smart contract?
is a piece of code written in solidity (Ethereum), that controls data or money based on the interactions written in its code.

  3. How is transparency achieved with ethereum code? its on the blockchain, viewable to anyone, but with POW , so it cannot be altered.

  1. What was Web 1.0?
The first iteration of the web represents the web 1.0 the static internet, which is the read-only web. In other words, the early web allowed us to search for information and read it. There was very little in the way of user interaction or content generation.

  2. What is a smart contract?
A smart contract is a self-executing contract with the terms of the agreement between buyer and seller being directly written into lines of code. The code and the agreements contained therein exist across a distributed, decentralized blockchain network.

  3. How is transparency achieved with ethereum code?
All the data is transparent and available to be traced by anybody but the confidentiality can be achieved by encryption. In other words, the confidential information is saved on the blockchain in an encrypted format, and the keys of decryption can be shared only with authorized individuals.

1. What was Web 1.0?
Ans 1: Static-websites which would show text, images, and links, is what was web 1.0

2. What is a smart contract?
Ans 2: Smart contracts are small pieces of code that run on the Ethereum block chain.
By using a programming language called solidity one can programme a smart contract and deploy it on the Ethereum network. It’s a little programme completely unstoppable. One can see who is sending and who is receiving money. Smart contracts enables us to enter this world of programmable assets called money without any intermediaries like a bank. The small pieces of code can hold money.
On the Ethereum block chain you can create your own logic, your own application, your own services that will handle money and the smart contract will do it in a complete decentralized way and there is no way to shut it down and no way to stop it.

3. How is transparency achieved with ethereum code?
Ans 3: By using the little ethereum code there is increased transparency and that is because everyone can see exactly who is sending money and who is receiving money from the smart contract in terms of transactions.
