I think Aragon is intersting. They provide liquidity.
Lots of amazing projects here. I REALLY like on app.zerion.io under overview if you select your coin, it tells you the history of your trades laid out pretty easy (Buy and Sell price) to read. Do you know of any other projects that do something similar to this?
Until now I have been using etherscan but find it hard to read clicking back and forth between contracts.
I would definitely add Balancer (https://pools.balancer.exchange/#/), which is surely nothing new, but wasn’t mentioned in the DeFi lectures so far.

C.R.E.A.M. is a crypto lending and borrowing dApp based on the “Compound” protocol with altered pools assets and own governance token. Super easy to use but it seems like today the gas fees are a little steep. I will be using CREAM in the future.
YFI: yearn.finance is a decentralized ecosystem of aggregators that utilize lending services such as Aave, Compound, Dydx, and Fulcrum to optimize your token lending. When you deposit your tokens to yearn.finance, they are converted to yTokens, which are periodically rebalanced to choose the most profitable lending service(s). Curve.fi is a prominent integrator of yTokens - creating an AMM (Automated Market Maker) between yDAI, yUSDC, yUSDT, yTUSD that not only earns the lending fees but also the trading fees on Curve.fi.
YFI, yearn.finance’s governance token, is distributed only to users who provide liquidity with certain yTokens. With no pre-mine, pre-sale, or allocation to the team, YFI strives to be the most decentralized token. Although most of the ecosystem was built by Andre Cronje, control of YFI was transferred to a multi-signature wallet, which requires 6 out of 9 participants to agree on changes.
As a truly decentralized protocol, any changes to the yearn.finance ecosystem are always done via on-chain proposals and voting.
Thanks a lot for all the information. I still need to learn a LOT. In fact, I have invested in Defi. However, I am still learning about all the possibilities Defi offers. I will take the Defi 102 course after I am done with this one. I am a professional musician and I think Defi could offer a lot of opportunities to our industry. I know I have to learn a lot about Defi and Cryptocurrency.
Thanks a lot !
Amedeo, thanks so much for putting this course together! Similar to previous poster, I too have invested in crypto and started playing around with Defi. There is so much to learn and I find the number of projects in the Defi space to be a bit overwhelming. Your spreadsheet really helps! A lot of the projects seem to do similar things which is why Aggregators make so much sense to me. But still, how they work under the hood is a huge mystery to me. I still have some fundamental concepts that I need to wrap my head around like why anyone would borrow crypto in the first place. I love the lending aspect where I make interest on what I lend. I have even lent out all of my SNX on Aave because of the current 20+% APR (although with the gas fees that I paid it will take more than a year to break even LOL – but I so wanted to get my feet wet!). Anyways, your course has been really helpful!
There is a lot of interesting DeFi information in the DeFi ecosystem course. Amadeo explains it well and I got most of it. I will have to review my notes to get it 100%. Thank you for your expertise Amadeo.
My favorite DeFi DEX is Maker DAO. With it being the building block of all the other DEX’s that follow. you can’t go wrong in using it for now. I can see others becoming as reliable and trustworthy, but for now, Maker DAO is the DOS of the early computers. I could not find any new DeFi systems. Most of the ones I have seen are already listed in the commentary. I have to give a shout out to hannezzon of the discussion group for listing information on The Graph . Is a pretty cool tool for building decentralized Apps. Thank you hannezzon.

Awsome man yeaaa that is a good idea …
This space how ever is evolving crazy fast since … the YFV is doing some shady stuff … they now want to migrate all Balancer pools into there own pools
Do not leaf your tokens inside these stakes pools they give you tromendoes risk of losing funds.
you know a lot about YF Link? i heard the link marines were making it safer than the other yearn stuff…
https://fulcrum.trade/ - seems like they focus and provide a lot of security in the product with several audits, and there is an insurance included in the same platform.
https://bella.fi/ - It’s not fully launch i think, but quite interesting what is proposed i.e. the one-click crypto banking with low gas fees, smart automated advisor that picks the highest yield project to invest in.

I haven’t use any of those two , just a little research using the new knowledge acquired in this DeFi course, which is great by the way
Let me know your thoughts on those two projects guys.
Akropolis is a new DEFI project built on top of the polkadot system. They have a framework for developers to build dapps, gain a community and monetise on the idea by providing undercollaterised loans It is built on polkadot therefore it will in the future be interoperable. There are lending, borrowing and staking services. It is also aiming at decentralised pensions through fiat on ramp on the blockchain. there are also various programmable trading strategies such as DCA that can be implemented through the application for newer users to crypto.
In the savings section there is also portfolio management and aggregator to get highest apr using various stable coins. The governance token akro allows for voting rights in pool collaterization ratio, interest rates etc
Akroplolis is surely worth putting on the list with a current working platform.
The one to watch out for would be UniLayer.
Essentially taking all the functions of CEX and layer them onto Uniswap to further decentralize crypto trading
https://unilayer.app/
I am enjoying the course, it is great information.
MantraDAO is another interesting platform to propose Stacking, Borrowing and Lending. It is built on the Rio Chain for Polkadot.
Otherwise, on the CeFi list I think CELSIUS definitely deserves to be on that list.
According to DeFi Pulse, it’s “A Yield-Maximizing Robo-Advisor that Takes Risk Management Seriously”
Although I hear many bad words about these yearn stuff, but I think at one point we may have to embrace it, and accept it as part of DeFi, or will be left behind. Do you agree?
Great set of videos!!
I looked at some of the new derivative projects like Erasure that apparently produces stocks movement predictions…
Should add yearn.finance to your list. Interest yield aggregator, with lending and insurance protocols attached to it. One of the most important projects in DeFi currently.
I am interested in HYPRR protocol
