DeFi Ecosystem - Discussion

Hey guys,
I highly recommend you to read about the ACO project, which I mentioned already in May.
Here is a link, where you can learn about ACO: https://defipulse.com/blog/aco/
The protocol was successfully audited by Open Zeppelin.

If you are interested in the token: search for AUC. It is still a low cap gem which is under the radar in my opinion.

Indexing Protocol “The Graph” with specialized queries on the chains implemented in “Subgraphs”, seems to add a missing Lego for organizations that need connectivity to downstream systems for reporting for accounting, financial risk, regulatory reporting etc. Data feeds representing the events (transactions) in DeFi protocols.
(The data feed direction is opposite oracles. What are these called, “subgraphs” is more the specific implementation?)

Great course, but I’ve very new to DeFi and it’s taking me a bit of time to understand it. Currently making my way through the links and absorbing all the information. Will post when I’ve gained a bit more understanding.

Hi Amadeo, I would really like to learn more about Kyber because I think it is an innovation in how liquidity is going to be provided to markets in the future. I find it to be 10x more efficient than how it is being down right now in centralized crypto markets and equity markets.

Also, I was hoping you could take a look at the LienFinance project on Ethereum that I thought was interesting. It lets you create stable coins without excess collateral and also create call options out of ETH. It was very hard for me to understand how the mechanics work so if you could look into it and let us know, that would be great.

You certainly got a lot of projects listed already. Anyways, used uniswap to trade me some DIA tokens but the gas fee were sky high, around $22. Any tips on how to keep fees low?

hello @amadeobrands - thanks for showing the real thing on how the defi is currently working already… this gives me a clearer picture on the use cases concepts that were discussed on the earlier topics…
if i may suggest however… if the topic could be dissected into smaller pieces so its easier to digest… to be honest i have to repeat the last portions of the topic several times as there were so many distractions in between… including the links you shared :-). but this is just me though… all in all great stuff you shared!

Trying any of these protocols is a bit discouraging because of the high fees. Do fees fluctuate at different times of day? Does anyone have any suggestions? i need gas for my car not transaction :persevere:

I’d add info on unitrade and mooniswap
I’d also suggest splitting the videos into shorter segments and possibly sticking activities between segments

I think X-wallet needs to be included. They are building on Multivac.

Thanks Amadeo. I thought this was an old one but I don’t see it on the list: Yearn ? Is it defi?

I am trying to supply $20.0 dollars of Dai on Compound to test it out. As I am getting ready to supply it, it says the fee will be $18.0 dollars. I am using my Coinbase Wallet, linked to Compound so I cannot adjust the gas prices but I think it is just too much. Is it worth it? The Dai APY is 3.0% and Compound APY is 7 something so all together is around 10% but is this right? $18 dollar gas price?
