I’m glad to be learning blockchain and so far you’ve made it easy to understand.
I completely agree, the possibilities are endless. If gov’t adopted blockchain our tax money could be spent in better ways.
Being brand new to crypto and blockchain your course is inviting and keeps me feeling like I can participate with out it feeling intimidating. The forum is a fantastic space and the calibre of responses and information in there alone are worth the price of admission.
Thanks Ivan !
Loving the cause so far. To be fare I do not have any questions as I feel the short videos are precise to the point and very clear and the homework is very straight forward. I have flown through the first part of my course and I hope the rest will be the same. I amvery grateful for the information, the support and the community so far. It’s a WIN WIN for me.
I was studying IT but I was never really passionate about it until I learned about blockchain and crypto. I really believe this technology will make positive change. I love this course so far
This course is so clear and Ivan gets right to the point in his videos with no fluff!
Also it’s cheaper then ETH gas fees atm!
How do dapps or smart contracts check if a statement is true or false. For example with the dad that makes a smart contract for his kid who will get money if he passes school. Do we have to connect the blockchain to the school’s website? And how will it check the grade of the right kid? I think something like this is pretty hard because the school will not publicate grades of all students because of privacy.
Let’s say what I asked above is no problem. How often will the SC check if I passed school already? every day? or every year? or every second? (this is probably programmable in the dapp) But what if we use an example where it is important for the SC to check every second if something already happended or not, and there are millions of people using these kinds of smart contracts. This wil take massive amounts of computer power to complete right? and over time only more and more SC will be in use. Will all this increasing information be stored inside the same blockchain? Does this make the blockchain slow and energy consuming?
Blockchains can’t handle external data. This is a huge problem that is being tackled by projects like Chainlink. Its so huge it actually has a name: The oracle problem.
If you want to get external data in a blockchain someone would need to provide this data to it. Either being a centralized entity or a decentralized oracle.
How this will work out in the future regarding size and such, there is no way to know for sure. Sharded blockchains in the future will save on storage because not all nodes will require to store all shards, distributing the load and storage requirements.
I just registered to Ivan on Tech Academy, and now studying my first course (Blockchain and Bitcoin 101)
I totally very new to crypto and so far I able to understand the videos that Ivan has recorded.
Hopefully I able to completed my study plan and get a fulltime job related to Blockchain.
Got to write something, so I would not have dreamed of all this becoming so big and love that I am learning now here with all of us.
Hi folks,
Quick catch up to say how I love the videos and education so far. I am only interested can we have a certification in some stage through the Ivan On Tech Academy? How far it goes as helping you understand Blockchain ?
You will receive a certificate once you finish a course.
The courses are great imo and have helped a lot of people getting jobs in the industry. You can check testimonials.
Very clear and concise presentations. Looking forward to the next sets of lessons. Kudos to you and your team Ivan.
Dear Ivan, as we are scrambling to escape this centralized financial system our kids are being educated and shaped each and everyday just as Robert Kiyosaki explains what the banks and government want us to do “study hard, find a job, work hard, earn fiat, save up, buy a house and stocks”…Would you consider launching “Ivan & Kids On Tech”? A kids version teaching next generation the basis of blockchain and crypto? Teach the kids, change the world! and make ‘money’ of course. My kids will be in!
Great 1st chapter on course, keep up the amazing work
It’s been such a surprise to be in contact with this fantastic knowledge. Thank you Ivan. The future is right there.
Funny, I feel like I’m learning MS-DOS 5.0 again (it’s for those over 40). Windows will soon appear to improve the UI and … Boom!
Your comment hit me like a ton of bricks… What you said about Windows replacing MS-DOS is completely parallel to blockchain in 2021. I remember the MS-DOS days. I’m 35
Seeing this in picture form and colours with your description helps me understand blockchain a bit more. Thank you
This section is not loading, but the next three are. Can I start with two and circle back ?
