Benefits of using Blockchain - Discussion

Cheap transactions, decentralisation and it’s the future.

Using blockchain makes human one step closer to become fully automated robots. Just a quick thought. Also, what happens in those countries with censorship? Although they have internet connection, but are people living in those countries able to access the blockchain and so on?

For the Financial system, Blockchain hopefully can contribute to make the world more fair,
for the Internet trustless and for people sovereignty over their data.
Infinite opportunities for companies - tokenized economy in the future!

Blockchain is transparent, decentralised, secure, efficient and…THE FUTURE NOW! :grinning:

I don’t agree. Its a step that makes humans one step closer to financial freedom.

Countries like China didn’t ban it just yet. And since its just a protocol you can’t really block it by blocking a specific port or something (you can change it). If this were to happen there are other means of keeping the blockchain in sync like using a satellite

Anyone can use the public blockchain, no permission is required. It is decentralized.
After it is validated then no one can change it.

The benefits of Blockchain are pretty much endless. After taking the class I also made my own research, and the more you study the more amazed you are by the idea of it. This is pretty much how the “fiction” movies have been describing the future for the past decades (seems like it is not fiction anymore, but the reality we are facing). Having a technology that doesn’t allow you or anyone else to cheat is what we all have been trying to achieve for ages. Humans will always act and do things for their own benefit but with this, the game of stealing, hiding and erasing is completely over. This means that everyone will have to be honest and will receive what they have worked for, and not what they were able to steal and hide by burning the evidence. With a distributed an immutable system that makes every move irreversible, you can definitely prove what you see and not what your hear. So…. Actions prove words.

Am I the only one becoming and addict about the subject? :grinning:

Hi @Camila and welcome to the forum! No, I think most of us here are hooked :stuck_out_tongue:

Hello, everyone!

I am a new student and I had a small issue with two questions from the homework. I answered, but I am not sure if I understood correctly.

The first question is from high availability:
Why is it important for blockchain networks to be high availability networks?
My answer: Because everyone is incentivized to keep it alive, because everyone wants to make money.

The second question is from finality:
How does this lead to the thrustless environment that blockchain creates?
My answer: The fact that you can not reverse transactions is basically trusting a decentralized network that can not be corrupt, hacked or broken.

I just want to know is I understood before going to the next courses.
Thanks!

Yes you are correct  you could continue the course and don’t forget to come back to us here on the forum when you’re done

if in the futer bitcoin has all its 21M coins mined, and the price then goes up, wont everyone get more bitcoin meaning there will be more than @!M bitcoin.

I believe that one of the most important feature of blockchain is it’s ability to be used to transfer currency as well as information. This was not possible in Web 2.0

I’m not sure what you mean. How would there be more than 21M Bitcoin? After the mining reward goes below the threshold the rewards will go to 0. After that miners will only receive the transaction fees. Where would the new Bitcoins come from?

Benefits of using Blockchain.
Everything is Transparent, traceable, faster and more secure. Very good for building contracts and various programs enhance businesses, audits, authentication etc.
Peer to peer, cuts out the middleman and great for global integrations.

Decentralizing is one of the best things that can happen to mankind, now everything is controlled by the big company’s world wide. Today i read about China and the way they are handling bank withdrawals, they are going to make it very difficult for you to get your hard earned money out of the bank! This is just the start of a world wide financial disaster. This will be perfect for BTC and other crypto’s

at the end of the day the most significant benefit blockchain can give
is individual freedom
since blockchain will serve as a bridge for people to get unplugged from this current corrupt rigged slavery system.

The blockchain technology allows for verification without having to be dependent on third-parties.
