One ton is 32000 ounces.
79.85 tonnes is therefore: 32000 * 79.85 = 3200079.85 ounces.
If one ounce costs $1778.42, then all Australia has in gold is 3200079.85 * $1778,42 = $5691086006.84USD.
Clearly based on the above, the number of home loans being granted exceeds that figure - another completely different topic!
