When I looked at the website it said that the U.S. has 8133 tonnes of gold in its reserves. I wasn’t sure how to calculate the dollar amount equivalent but I did see a post by @JBrewer that was very helpful to me. Here is the formula that @JBrewer posted for 8134 tonnes of gold:

The US has 8133 tons of gold in reserve currently and this amount has been held steady since the '70’s. This represents a value of approximately $481 billion. Interestingly enough, the Federal Reserve has its own stash of gold in its vaults too that is not even a part of this equation.
