How long did it take you to complete the entire course?

Not sure in terms of the exact hours but it was within 20 days.

I am excited to learn the course. Thanks Ivan. Greeting from the Philippines!

So what are the details with regards to the Swedish Blockchain Group? Do we need to finish each course, or just the programming course, to be part of that group? Is there a public ledger to prove membership? if not, perhaps a blockchain based cert similar to what some universities are using would be appropriate?

All students that complete any of our courses will be added to our database. It’s not anything that is public, instead we use that database when we headhunt developers and other positions for our clients.

We are looking at developing our own certification. But right now we only use teachables built in certificates, which can be verified through us.

OK I am an old man in his fifties looking forward to my retirement and without wanting to make this sound like a Man looking for a woman profile I am looking forward to learning as much as I can in this course to get the creative juices flowing, in my younger days I developed a Payroll Software package in Omnis 7 a 4GL style object orientated language so this will be interesting! Hit me up for any business ideas and opportunities!

Dear Ivan,
I need professional Bitcoin tax advice for USA. Please advise.

Should experienced developers skip the intro javascript/c++ courses and start with the “Ethereum Smart Contract Programming 101” course?

I’ve used typescript for a couple years, but it’s been ages since I’ve looked at C++. I’m already a full stack software developer (C#, Angular/node/typescript).

Hi, I’ve finished JS programming course and now I want to go to etherium programming but there is old and new version availble. I wonder if old version worth studying or it will only do mess in my head? Please tell me more about it…

Hi.
Take the new ones. the old one is for the people who started it back in the days and didn’t finish it.
Both the courses do almost the same, but the 101 and 201 are updated. I would focus on those two.

Good luck!

Ivo

Hello there,
I tried to ask in the Academy Q&A yesterday but it crashed, I tried in the livestream this morning but the question didn’t get pick between the hundreds of questions.

I really would like to understand, Solidity seem the language to really get to know and as soon as I am done with JS I will move to that one.
Is EOS still relevant? does it still make sense being less popular/hype at the moment or what is the best language to get to learn after solidity in the Blockchain world?

Thanks in advance for support

Beppe

Hey @Beppe_Amsterdam, hope you are well.

There are so many course in solidity from our Academy, after JavaScript course you should take Ethereum progrmming 101 and then 201, then we have others like gaming and security to go indeep with solidity.

Now about EOS, even when right now does not have too much popularity, is still another great language to learn to be able to develop dapps on c++ EOS blockchain.

The best languange to learn right now for blockchain is solidity, there is right now where most development is being designed, there will be others interesting like cardano but for now, Solidity is the main one.

If you have any more questions, please let us know so we can help you!
